About QGHA

The integration of genomics into healthcare has the potential to transform health services globally with faster diagnosis, new treatments, and more cost-effective service delivery.

The Queensland Genomics Health Alliance is a $25 million Advance Queensland initiative which was established by the Queensland Government in 2016 to enable the implementation of genomics into Queensland’s healthcare system.

The Queensland Genomics Health Alliance invests in genomics health implementation projects which bring together Queensland’s health and hospital services’ innovation, with advancing medical and social research, to accelerate the adoption of medical genomics into mainstream healthcare.

Our work aims to benefit Queensland’s patients, clinicians, the health system and leading research groups.
